One of the largest Porsche dealerships is starting construction with a loan of $52 million
Champion Porsche began construction on its expanded dealership in Pompano Beach after securing a construction loan of $52 million.
Wells Fargo Bank granted the mortgage to Copans Motors, managed by Mitra Maraj, for the 18-acre lot located at 300 N.W. 24th St. In June, the dealership received approval for a two-story showroom and office totaling 71,290 square feet, along with a four-level parking garage with 370 spaces.
Stiles Construction, based in Fort Lauderdale, recently filed a notice informing that it has started construction on the project. GBM Architecture, also based in Fort Lauderdale, designed the buildings.

"We are grateful for this opportunity to partner with our client, Champion Porsche, to build the largest Porsche dealership in the world, according to its owners, with a total of 300,000 square feet," said Adrienne Zalkind, spokesperson for Stiles. "This state-of-the-art facility will feature an entirely new sophisticated showroom and a modern four-level parking garage, all connected to over 80 new service bays in the existing vehicle storage building, which will be renovated. This project will redefine the standard in high-end automotive experiences".
Once the new building is completed, Champion Porsche will be able to move from its current location at 500 W. Copans Road.
Champion Porsche is one of the largest Porsche dealerships in North America. Given the increase in affluent residents in South Florida in recent years, the demand for luxury cars has grown significantly.
