Apple Miami Worldcenter opened a store with new ordering service.

Jan 27, 2025

Apple opened its tenth store in South Florida on January 24 at Miami Worldcenter.

Located near the Kaseya Center, home of the Miami Heat, and Bayside Marketplace, at 725 NE First Ave., the new Apple store in downtown Miami will offer a full range of products and services, including product personalization, trade-in, and activation.

With a team of over 150 employees, this store is part of Apple's growing presence (Nasdaq: AAPL) in the region, where nearly 2,000 people work in its retail operations. Notably, the location at Miami Worldcenter features the first area dedicated exclusively to Apple Pickup in the city, designed to streamline online order pickups for customers.

“Miami is a city with a unique history, culture, and life, and we are thrilled to capture that energy,” said Deirdre O’Brien, senior vice president of retail and people at Apple. “This new store brings Apple’s values to life in every detail while celebrating the city’s creativity.”

The store was designed with accessibility and sustainability in mind, featuring a low-carbon laminated wood structure and a pavilion surrounded by trees. Additionally, Apple Miami Worldcenter operates entirely on renewable energy, supporting the company’s commitment to carbon neutrality.

In addition to selling products, the store will host a variety of programs, including Today at Apple sessions focused on product education and business development. It will also offer hands-on learning opportunities for local entrepreneurs through events like the community sessions Made for Business.

“Since we opened our first Apple store in the U.S. over 20 years ago, we have built meaningful connections with customers across the country,” said Denny Tuza, senior market director for Apple’s retail division. “And now, we look forward to deepening those relationships.”

Apple Miami Worldcenter is part of the company’s broader commitment to South Florida, including partnerships with local institutions like Miami Dade College, aimed at expanding educational and workforce development opportunities.

The location is less than two miles from the store at Brickell City Centre, which opened in March 2017. Other Apple stores in South Florida are in Lincoln Road, Dadeland, Kendall, Aventura, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach Gardens, and Wellington.

The growing presence of Apple in the region employs nearly 2,000 people in its retail operations.

Apple Store employee salaries in Miami vary by position: retail employees earn between $12.88 and $19.10 per hour; “Genius” specialists earn between $20.50 and $28.25 per hour; and program leaders have annual salaries between $48,300 and $111,400, according to ZipRecruiter.

Apple is a consumer technology company based in Cupertino, California, with a market capitalization of $3.4 trillion. Shares of the tech giant closed Wednesday at $223.83, a 0.5% increase since market open.

Michael Comras, president and CEO of The Comras Company, a commercial real estate agency based in Miami Beach, secured Apple as the leasing agent for Miami Worldcenter, a $6 billion mixed-use development spanning 27 acres.

Miami Worldcenter, which began construction in 2016, is being developed by Miami Worldcenter Associates, led by managing partners Art Falcone and Nitin Motwani, in partnership with CIM Group, a real estate and infrastructure firm based in Los Angeles.

More than 95% of the 300,000 square feet of commercial space in the project is already leased. Among the open tenants are Sixty Vines, Lululemon, Sephora, and CitizenM, while upcoming retailers will include Posman Books, Serafina, and Starbucks. Residential complexes in the heart of Miami Worldcenter are Paramount, Bezel, and Caoba.
